Hard water
Scale builds up inside your water heater, your dishwasher and your washing machine long before you can see it on the fixtures. A whole-house system costs less than the appliances it saves.
Houston water carries a heavy mineral load. Every time it's heated, some of that mineral drops out and stays behind — on the heating element, in the pipes, across the inside of every appliance that touches hot water.
Houston adds chloramine — chlorine combined with ammonia — to disinfect the water supply. It's what you smell in the shower, and it's a common reason skin and hair feel dry and tight afterwards.
This is where KDF comes in. KDF is the filtration media best suited to Houston's water. It targets chlorine and chloramine specifically, which a generic carbon cartridge does not do nearly as well. It's the reason our systems are built the way they are.
Three stages at the main line, so every tap in the house is covered.
Standard install on a 1" PVC line, by a licensed master plumber.
Includes a one-year warranty on parts and labor, insulation for freezing weather, and a bypass so servicing never shuts off your water.
About descalers. A descaler is always installed together with the filter — never on its own. Without the filter ahead of it, a descaler clogs. You'll see standalone descalers advertised; that's why we don't sell them that way.
Water line 1.5" or larger? You need a high-capacity system instead — a standard unit can't keep up with the flow. See high-capacity systems →
We'll look at your water line and what you've been noticing around the house, then tell you what actually fixes it.
